My story

Barleycorn is a smart baby! Young but already wise to the world and it's hardships. Barleycorn knows commands and that if he cuddles us he will get more of what he wants - treats. He is a happy little guy still in his growth stage. We have no clue how big he will become but isn't that half the fun of a puppy! Came in as a stray on 11/25/24. Found near 400 E 82nd, Chicago *Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
