My story

Princess recently went on a fun day trip as part of SPCA Cincinnati’s Paw Pass Adventure Program, and she was a star guest!Her adventure buddies say she walks well on a leash with minimal pulling and did great in the car, spending most of the ride standing up to watch the world go by. While out and about, Princess was mostly quiet and very well-behaved. She met two children between the ages of 1–10 years old and was friendly and respectful—she enjoyed the attention and gentle pets. While Princess has previously done well with other dogs and children, please bring ALL members of your household in to meet with her prior to adoption.Princess is very treat motivated and more focused on her people than on toys. That said, she did join her fosters for a few short runs and seemed to enjoy being active with them. They describe her as having a medium energy level, making her a great balance of playful and calm. While Princess used to be very toy motivated when she first arrived at the shelter (especially hard toys she can chew on), she seems to be more interested in spending time with her people while out of her kennel. We think with some more time away from the shelter, Princess will start playing with her toys again!If you`re looking for a loyal and people-oriented companion, Princess might be your perfect match!
