My story

Meet Sunset – a stunning and intelligent Red Heeler with a heart full of affection and a thirst for adventure. While shelter life was overwhelming for her at first, Sunset has found her rhythm and for many of us, a volunteer favorite. These days, she lights up when it’s time for playgroups with other friendly, playful dogs, and she absolutely adores time with volunteers—especially if it involves toys or splashing around in the water.True to her breed, Sunset thrives on mental and physical activity and needs a home where she won’t be left alone for long stretches. She’s looking for a loving family, adult-only household (no children under 16, please), that can give her the structure, enrichment, and companionship she craves.
