Petey

My story

Petey is one of four angels rescued from a bad situation and ready to live the life he deserves! All lived their entire lives on a chain, and a very heavy one at that. No one deserves that. Especially not these sweet souls. They are all very sweet, very loving and very forgiving. If only humans could be more like dogs, the world would be a better place! Petey is an enthusiastic character who needs a home of his own. A home filled with love and without chains. A warm bed instead of the cold ground. And a place where he can feel safe and secure. Petey is a 4 year old 35 lb American Bulldog/Heeler mix with a lot of energy to run and play…something he has never been able to do. He is neutered, UTD on vaccinations and preventatives. Unfortunately Petey tested positive for heartworm but has already started treatment, with vet costs for treatment covered by AC ARF. We REALLY need to find a foster or an adopter for Petey as soon as possible! He is currently in boarding and needs a home where he can finally learn what it’s like to have a family.
