My story

Meet Austin – the sweet, silly soul with a heart full of love! This charming 1-year-old red hound mix joined the PAC family last December, and he’s been stealing hearts ever since! At first, Austin might be a little shy when that leash comes out—but get down to his level, and his goofy, affectionate personality starts to shine!Once he’s comfortable, Austin is all about zoomies in the yard and showing off his playful spirit. You’ll often find him springing up and down in his kennel out of excitement—it’s his way of saying, “Take me out, I’m ready to play!” While he’s got some bounce, he’s never tried to jump a fence while staying with us at the Pet Adoption Center.Austin is a fast learner—he’s already nailed the `sit` command and is eager for more training. He rides like a pro in the car and made lots of new friends at a recent event. He may need a little time to warm up to new dogs, but once he does, he’s full of play bows and tail wags! He especially loves playful, submissive female dogs, so we recommend a meet-and-greet if you already have pups at home.He’s done well around cats (though he was startled when one swatted at him), and we think he’d do best in a home with older kids (13+) who can match his energy and respect his space.If you`re looking for a sweet, quirky companion who just needs a little time to blossom, Austin is your guy.
