My story

PeepersOh, hello, dear. So glad you are reading my biography. My name is Peepers, but I like to be called Miss Peepers. After all, I am 15-years-old, and you wouldn`t call your granny by her first name. I am a petite Tortoiseshell lady whose owner`s health began to fail, so I was surrendered to the HSHC. I`ve been living in a foster home since Thanksgiving. I must say, my foster mom, has been most kind and accommodating. You see, I have diabetes, which requires some special treatment, but she is managing it quite well. I don`t mind the insulin shots, but having my blood tested is not my favorite way to spend time! She appreciates that I have impeccable litterbox manners. She also understands that I am relatively shy and will retreat to a hiding spot when necessary. I am much more comfortable now and will come out with a bit of sweet talk. I love being petted and having my chin scratched. I enjoy lying close to my foster mom and sleeping next to her at night. Please do not grab or pick me up; I don`t like being cat-handled. My favorite thing is a good nap on soft, fluffy blankets or a pillow as often as possible. My boisterous, playful days are behind me, but I enjoy it when a fishing pole toy with a feather is tossed in front of me. I like a predictable routine and a fairly quiet home. Small children are not my cup of tea. My foster mom says I am a `sweet companion` with beautiful green eyes and a very soft coat. If you have a soft spot for little old ladies, perhaps you`d like to meet me! I`ll put the kettle on. 1-27-25
