My story

What can you do with 90 pounds of sugar? Make hummingbird nectar for 600 feeders. Bake 400 birthday cakes or 90 pound cakes. Start a sugar scrub small business. Or, in the case of our 90 pounds of sugar in a doggy body, enjoy your daily tasks with Eddie by your side! According to volunteers, “Eddie is a VGB: very good boy! He is smart, attentive, and easy to handle. He is a good listener and not reactive to other dogs. In the play yard he just wanted to sit on my lap. He is SO sweet!”Eddie also recently enjoyed a Pawjama Party sleepover. His new friend described him as a curious, playful, lover-boy! After leaving the shelter with his new friend, he got to go to the lake and get his feet wet and then go to a dog friendly restaurant for brunch. He then had a warm bath and spent the night. His friend shared, “Eddie loves people and other dogs, and would make a great companion for a day in or a day out. Eddie is 90 pounds of pure love and likes whipped cream, treats, car rides, and walks around campus and meeting new people and dogs. He is very playful but also the best cuddle buddy—he just wants to be around you. This dog is seriously special. He has so, so much love to give if you would just give him a chance.” Need we say more?!?Because he’s such a big boy, it’s a good idea for Eddie to meet any potential furry roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit. When meeting other dogs in playgroup Eddie has been social and playful. One meeting with Eddie and your sweet tooth will be satisfied!! Come take this boy home!
