My story

Meet Byte! Byte entered Riverside County Animal Services as a stray, and when he wasn't claimed during the required hold period, we scooped him up to become a Frosted Face. Byte is estimated to be 15 years old, and he weighs 8 lbs. A few days after Byte arrived at FFF, he was chosen by a Foster family to live in their home until he is adopted. Byte's Foster Mom shared all she has learned about this cute boy: "Byte is a gentle senior gentleman who's found his perfect pace in life! As a 15-year-old pup, he's more interested in relaxation than rigorous exercise, but he enjoys short walks. Byte's ideal day involves lounging on his favorite bed near his person, sleeping, and enjoying quiet moments. His routine is predictable and comforting: wake up, potty, eat, seek out pets and affection, and then back to bed. He's a low-maintenance companion who thrives on consistency and gentle care. Byte needs time to trust, but once you've earned it, you have a loyal companion. Due to his past experiences, he takes time to warm up to new people. Byte will let you know if he's feeling uncomfortable or unsafe. He's done well with our family, including our energetic toddler, as long as we're mindful of his needs. Byte would thrive in a calm and loving home where he can feel safe and receive affection on his own terms. He's looking for a family that will prioritize his emotional well-being and provide a peaceful environment. At home, Byte lives with our cat, and aside from sneaking in to snack on her food, he treats her with gentle respect. Byte may never be a cuddle bug, but we’ve seen glimpses when he lets his guard down. If you’re the kind of person who cheers when a cactus blooms, Byte might just be your soulmate!"
