My story

Meet Giovanni! Giovanni came to us from Los Angeles Animal Care and Control's Lancaster Shelter on January 10th. He is about 9 years old, weighs 57 lbs., and is good with cats and other dogs. What a catch! Soon after Giovanni arrived, he was scooped up by a volunteer for a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn all about him in a home. Giovanni is such a good by that his Fling turned into a Foster home. Now, after four months, Giovanni is back on-site and on a mission to find his forever home! Might that be with you? His Foster Mom reports: "Giovanni is such a sweet pittie and absolutely loves people, dogs, kids, everyone, and everything! He pretty much lets us do anything we need to do to him such as wipe off his feet, brush him, bathe him, and brush his teeth. Giovanni is crate trained, but we don't use it anymore because he does fine while we are gone and typically just sleeps on the couch. He is always so happy to see us, and his tail wag (it's like a propeller!) is the cutest thing ever. Giovanni is so great with other dogs. With big dogs he is much more playful and tends to match their energy. With little dogs, he's very gentle, even the ones who nip at him regularly! We have taken Giovanni out to the brewery, to eat, and to the golf course, and he has been a perfect gentleman everywhere. Giovanni is amazing with all people and rolls over for belly rubs regularly. He pulls on the leash to get to people to give them love. This can look scary because he's so strong and a pittie. I try to let them know way ahead of time that he loves people and just wants to say hello. We have also had multiple children come up to him. While Giovanni is so good with kids, I would not recommend him for kids under 16 because he doesn't know how strong he is! Giovanni has been a pleasure to have in our home the past 4 months. No accidents, loves to snuggle and sleeps beside our bed on his own snuggly bed all night without a peep. Giovanni will bring so much joy to his forever family!"
