I’d like to introduce Biscuit to the SAAP family. She is an adorable lab mix (doodle??) who made her way to SAAP from a rural Kentucky shelter. She was very thin and unable to keep down solid food when she came to our rescue. By working with our wonderful veterinary partner, Biscuit was diagnosed with Megaesophagus. With that mystery solved, we have been able to have a Bailey chair built for her as well as develop feeding protocols and medication routines. She has gained over 10 pounds, is feeling wonderful and is ready to find her forever family. Biscuit is fostered in a busy home with kids, cats and dogs and gets along well with all. She still has some puppy energy and manners, so she does get a little mouthy when she’s excited. She also likes to chase the cats sometimes when she wants to play but redirects well. Biscuit really loves to be with her people and is the definition of a Velcro dog. I just can’t tell you how much of a sweetheart this girl is!! She is available for our foster to adopt program, and foster mom will be happy to provide education in her current feeding regimen and lifetime support!! March 17, 2025, 9:35 pm
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Biscuit, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
