My story

Meet Shorty! This sweet, lovable guy is ready for his forever home. He recently went on a Paw Pass Adventure and had a blast—car rides, pup cups, and even a trip to Bass Pro, where he met a friendly dog!While we’re still learning how he does with other dogs at home, he’s been friendly on walks. In fact, Shorty seems to have some training under his belt—whenever another dog is about to pass him, he’ll gently lay down and wait for them to go by before continuing on his way. He’s also incredibly calm around people; he didn’t react at all when a child passed right by him. He’s a sweet, gentle boy who takes everything in stride.Shorty is calm, quiet, and loves being with his people. He’s great on a leash, only pulling a little when excited. Though he rarely barks, he may whine when left alone but can improve with crate training. His foster describes him as “friendly and affectionate,” and we couldn’t agree more!We’re unsure if he’s lived with kids or other dogs, so we ask that all family members (two and four-legged) come to meet him. Shorty is available for adoption, foster-to-adopt, or a Paw Pass Adventure (day, overnight, or weekend). Visit SPCA Cincinnati at 11900 Conrey Rd any day from 12–5:30 PM to meet him!
