My story

I’m Marcus, and I’m 8 years old. If I’m being honest, most of those years haven’t been easy. I came from an alleged dog fighting ring where love was something I never knew. When rescuers found me, I was on borrowed time - I was going to be euthanized. My friends here saw something in me, and now I'm hoping someone else will see it too. Even after everything I’ve been through, I’m still a sweet, gentle soul. I love people - all I really want is a soft bed, a warm lap, and a hand to hold. I would prefer to be the only dog in your home, but I do well with cats! My heart is big, my spirit is soft, and all I want is to spend my golden years surrounded by kindness. Dogs like me, the seniors with a rough past, are often overlooked. I promise I have so much love left to give. Please, if you’ve got a little space in your home and a lot of space in your heart, take a chance on me.
