My story

Mocha! Mocha is a sweet and soulful adult Belgian Malinois (around 5 years young!) with plenty of love, snuggles, and tail wags left to give. She may not be your typical high-energy Malinois—Mocha is more of a cozy couch potato than a working girl—but that just makes her all the more special! This laid-back lady is currently living it up in a foster home with three other adult dogs and a kiddo, and she’s doing great! She gets along fine with the other pups, but she’s not a fan of drama—so calm, low-key dog friends are her vibe. (We’d recommend avoiding pairing her with another female dog, just to keep the peace.) She’d also be totally happy as your one-and-only furry best friend. Mocha does enjoy a good case of the zoomies now and then, especially with her foster Malinois buddy—but don’t expect her to chase tennis balls or get into fetch. That’s just not her thing! What she does love is being near her people, soaking up belly rubs, gentle scratches, and quietly hanging out around the house. She’s a homebody at heart and prefers the indoors to wild outdoor adventures. She’s wonderfully house-trained, crate-trained (and does best in her Impact crate when left alone), and knows her basic commands. Walks on leash? A breeze! She’s easygoing and happy to trot along by your side. Mocha’s favorite greeting is a cute little “air chomp” with her teeth—her way of saying “hello, I love you!” She’s sweet and affectionate with kiddos, and she’s more than happy to help clean up snack crumbs (she says it’s her duty).
