Meet Betty – A Truly Special Girl Looking for Her Perfect Match! Betty is a stunning, 1–2-year-old spayed female with a gentle heart and irresistible charm. Thought to be a mix of Australian Kelpie, Lapponian Herder, Siberian Husky, and Border Collie, her breed blend is a best guess based on observation—no guarantees are made about breed, and only DNA testing could confirm her exact lineage. What we do know is that Betty is a smart, sweet, and soulful girl who turns heads everywhere she goes. Photos don’t capture her beauty—she’s even more striking in person. Betty is: Calm, loving, and easygoing Leash-trained and loves her walks A staff favorite at both boarding and the vet clinic Toy-motivated and incredibly intelligent Great with male dogs (with proper intros) Spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a home! She was surrendered through no fault of her own and has been nothing short of a gem during her stay. In fact, the vet staff were so smitten they’ve come to visit and take her out on special adventures—Betty truly leaves a lasting impression. As a likely herding mix, Betty can be energetic and driven around small animals. She’s shown interest in herding goats—not chasing them as prey, but trying to "work" them—true to her possible breed heritage. While she’s not aggressive, she can be overenthusiastic in her play, so supervision is recommended around smaller animals or more fragile pets. She has also shown some resource guarding in boarding, but with guidance and structure, this is a behavior that can improve over time—especially in a loving home. Betty is the total package: affectionate, loyal, intelligent, and ready to bond deeply with her person. She’s looking for a home where she’ll be more than just a pet—she’ll be a family member, a hiking buddy, a snuggle partner, and your devoted shadow.
