My story

Meet Brandy! A sweet and snuggly seven-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix from Bridgeport, CT, who’s ready to be the star of her very own home. With her stunning fawn-colored coat and warm, soulful eyes, Brandy is a loving companion who thrives when she’s the center of attention. She weighs 60 pounds and strikes the perfect balance between medium energy and calm cuddles, making her a wonderful match for someone who’s looking for both play and affection! Brandy adores belly scratches, tug-of-war with her favorite rope toys, and lounging outside on sunny days. She’s incredibly affectionate and will often come over to rest her head on your lap just to let you know she’s there for you. While she enjoys her active moments, she’s equally content napping nearby or curling up for snuggles at the end of the day. She knows commands like “sit,” “high-five,” “come here,” and “get in your bed,” and though she can be a little stubborn, she’s eager to learn with positive reinforcement and patience. Brandy is house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, so she’s all set for her new chapter! However, she’s had some challenges living with another dog and has been involved in fights, making it clear she needs to be the only dog in her new home. This doesn’t take away from her loving personality—it simply means she’s at her happiest when she doesn’t have to share her space. Brandy hasn’t been exposed to children, so a home with adults or a couple who understands her breed would suit her best. While she’s not a fan of other dogs, she does great with cats and would love a fenced yard where she can safely explore and play.
