Autumn

My story

Autumn is a 4 year old active and playful sheltie at 32 pounds. She is a fun female and would be best in a home where she can be the Queen as an only pup. Autumn prefers all of the attention and while she is doing fine with three other shelties in foster care, we feel she would prefer to be the queen with her new forever home. Autumn is being fostered in the Allentown, PA and please note her location here in the Allentown, PA and her foster home location. HPSR covers the state of PA, and our foster homes are located throughout the state of PA. Autumn will need a SECURE FENCED IN YARD...and no exceptions. Autumn will need an experienced sheltie owner and an owner that knows and understands the herding breed. Autumn can be a bit bossy at times and will snark and bark if she is just not ready to go into her X-pen. She needs an owner that will work with her and she would really benefited from additional training with her new owner and a good bonding experience for both. Autumn is perfectly house trained and has excellent house manners. She loves to go for walks and does well on the leash. She is a typical sheltie barker and will bark at the fence at other dogs or the squirrels. Autumn would need a more quiet home without a lot of folks coming and going or big family gatherings and we would not want to place her in a home with small children. (Please do not inquire if you do not have a secure fenced in yard). We adopt to forever homes here in the state of PA and will consider adoption homes just over the PA state line, but we do not do long distance adoptions.
