My story

Meet Caldera!! Caldera is a 9-month-old spayed female. She is current on her vaccines, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative!!! Caldera has spent the last few weeks in a foster home where she is learning to trust humans and appreciate all that they have to offer her. Including food, pets, play-time and friendship. Caldera has come to love the other feline friends in her foster home and we believe she will continue to thrive having another kitty right by her side, so she is required to go home with another cat, or to a home that has a social and confident cat already. Caldera has come to enjoy pets but, is still learning what "being held" means. She isn't sure what to do when she gets picked up and can become very scared. Due to this we feel she should go to a home with kids 8 and older who will understand that she does not enjoy body handling, and will give her space. She may do okay with a home with other types of pets, including dogs given very slow and proper introductions and proper supervision. **Words from Caldera's foster*** "She lets me pet her and she likes to talk. She still kind of timid with fast movements and when I pick her up, she doesn’t know what to do and wants to get down. She does like Rosita and even though sometimes Rosita hisses at her, Caldera doesn’t care and just licks her. She’s a sweetheart.
