My story

Beau is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption application on our website to learn more about him and schedule an introduction. Beau is: Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Beau: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: Working on it! He can take a little time to settle, but then has done well overall for up to 6 hours when home alone in his crate. Has also done well for up to an hour free-roam in the home. Leash walking: Working on it! This big boy needs to build confidence out in the world, and may sometimes become fearful and freeze while on walks. Dog social: Has previously lived with other dogs. He seems to do best with slow intros to calm companions. Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: Not recommended for a home with small children Beau likes: - Naps and cuddles - Giving you big tail wags when you get home - Offering you a warm head on your lap during tough days - Helping you catch up on RHONY If you're looking for a best friend who really means it when he says he loves you, Beau might just be your guy! He’s a large, soulful pup with eyes that speak volumes—and all he’s really asking for is someone who can make him feel safe in a big, unpredictable world. Beau is a big softie—literally and emotionally. New places and people can be overwhelming, and he needs someone who will take things slow, reassure him, and celebrate small wins. A quieter home and gentle encouragement go a long way. Being alone is hard for Beau. He bonds deeply and feels distressed when left behind. He would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time—whether you work remotely, are retired, or just live a slower lifestyle, Beau will be your grateful shadow. Beau is already making progress with his foster, and we believe with the right person(s), he’s going to bloom! Beau is heartworm positive and on activity restriction. He is undergoing treatment at Ellis Clinic at no charge to their adopter. Heartworm is a treatable disease that most dogs make a full recovery from. You can learn more about heartworm treatment on our resource page -https://www.onetail.org/heartworm/. He is currently taking medication for anxiety support when home alone. Beau's adoption fee is $300, and he is ready to cuddle with his forever person! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Beau, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
