Burt

My story

URGENT FOSTER or ADOPTER NEEDED. BURT IS AN ORPHAN, his owner passed away. Burt is a beautiful brindle pup with hypnotizing eyes. Believed to be Catahoula crossed with a breed that is open to debate. He is housebroken, good with other dogs, good with children, and very loving. Burt loves people! He is an active boy that loves to play, fetch and keep away are amongst his favorite pass times. He can be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up. He does like to be the boss over his toys, water, and food but due to him still being a pup that should be correctible. He was adopted from the Elko shelter as a small pup by an 80-year-old man who has since passed away. He is still missing his owner and home. He knows some basic commands, but needs work on a few others, ie he knows to get down, lay down, etc. . . but sit needs some work. He is very intelligent and is just over a year old, so still has that puppy energy. He rides well in the car and is easy to walk with a gentle leader harness, but is a bit of a puller with a regular leash. . He is altered, microchipped, and up to date on his shots.
