My story

Meet Goose! Male brown and white pitty mix Estimated DOB: 07/2023 Updated bio information (3/15/25): Goose is very sweet and can get excited to see new people, but is very gentle and has great house manners. He takes medication nightly for anxiety but his current foster sees it more as boredom rather than anxiety. We're hopeful in the right home that he'll be able to be weaned off of these. He skin picks when he's bored. Initially it seemed like it could be allergies, but everywhere that's covered with a sweater is healing and everywhere that's not...he still struggles with. He would excel with a job. He has toys and blankets, but is not really interested in the toys the way some other pups are. His current foster hasn't really seen him rough play at all and she has 3 dogs of her own plus fosters (both cats and puppies) Unless the other dogs are really pushing him to play, she hasn't seen the rough play behavior. He's 150% solid on crate and potty training. __________________________________________________________ Goose was on the euthanasia list at Michigan shelter and we were able to pull him after finding a foster at the last minute. This guy is good with everything - dogs, kids, cats (he's afraid of them) and of course humans. He is very high energy and large. His fosters are working with him but he does like to jump up on people so may knock young children down. He will need someone who will be able to exercise him or that has a high energy dog who plays rough like he does. Location: Goose is currently in a foster home. Medical: All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on age approriate vaccines (rabies, distemper, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella), microchipped, negative heartworm tested, given flea/tick/heartworm prevention and dewormer, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. Fill out an application at www.figandfriendspetrescue.org/adopt if you are interested in adopting him.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Goose, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
