Beans – Available for Adoption UPDATE: Beans has been such a good boy! He was given Gabapentin temporarily to get the edge off. We are beginning the process of weaning him off the meds, but in the meantime no bites nor swats to his visitors. Also, we discovered he’s very mellow and passive with the other foster cats except for one other alpha male that is in the house so we believe he can be adopted into a home with another friendly resident cat or two as long as they are not alpha types. Beans is a recent rescued boy from one of our feeding sites. When he feels safe, he is quiet, good natured, purrs, and likes pats and lots of lap time. Early in his life, there had to have been some trauma and no nurturing. He can get spooked and over-stimulated and may swat with his paws. He can also be a biter when scared – we hope with a little more time he will get that out of his system. Although he has come a long way in foster, it will still take a special person to understand him and let him live and be happy as an indoor kitty. Oh! And Beans’ LOVES, LOVES, LOVES catnip! Beans’ purr’fect home would be a quiet one without a lot of comings & goings. His ideal human should be cat savvy and be able to read when Beans is overstimulated and if he does get swatted or bit they will show patience with him. And because he is still learning how to cat, he can’t be in a home with kids. Beans is approximately 2 years old, neutered and up-to-date on all his shots. If you are interested in meeting him, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Beans, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
