My story

Meet Ava! She is a 7-year-old, 53-pound, boxer-hound (best guess) mix with a sweet soul and a loving heart. She’s the perfect mix of playful and laid-back—will happily go for a walk or run in the yard but is just as happy to lounge in her bed or by your side. Ava is wonderful on leash, house-trained, and crate-trained, and she already knows sit, stay, down, and paw. She adores all people and will happily seek out affection, soaking up all the pets and belly rubs you have to offer. Ava is happy with simple pleasures. She would thrive as the only dog, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. She doesn't require constant entertainment or elaborate routines. She’s happy to join you for an adventure or find a cozy spot to nap (usually her crate). Plenty of snuggles and pets (and treats!) are all it takes to make her tail wag. She’ll happily chill by your side while you work or relax, offering quiet companionship without demanding constant attention. Be warned – her adorable requests for tummy rubs might just be the most effective stress reliever out there! When she was at the shelter, she was the shelter manager's favorite! If you're searching for a loyal, affectionate and devoted companion to be your one and only, Ava is waiting to meet you! Ava is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care.
