My story

How this pet arrived: Lefty was brought in by his previous owner on January 30, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Lefty! This goofy, gentle-hearted guy is full of charm and quirky habits that'll melt your heart. He's a shy pup at first, but give him time, patience, and plenty of treats, and you'll see his sweet personality blossom. Lefty absolutely loves chasing tennis balls - though he hasn't quite figured out what comes after the chase (we're still working on the "bring it back" part!). He's got the most adorable play bows, gets the occasional case of the zoomies, and has a funny little habit of gently nudging over empty water bowls - just his polite way of saying, "Excuse me, refill please?". This sweet boy is very respectful and friendly with other dogs and is looking for a home with a canine companion to help him continue building his confidence. Because of his shy nature, Lefty would do best in a calm, low-traffic home with a private, attached, and enclosed space like a yard or patio for potty breaks. He's also holding out for a family with children aged 8 or older who can respect his gentle nature. Lefty's keeping his paws crossed for a loving home that will let him grow at his own pace - and toss a tennis ball or two along the way.
