My story

Bella is a beautiful gray-over-white cat who starts off shy but warms up with time and patience. Once she begins to trust you, she loves to be petted and becomes quite playful! Bella is looking for a quiet, understanding home where she can come out of her shell at her own pace.If you're interested in adopting Bella, we recommend following the 7-3-3 Rule to help her transition smoothly:7 Days to Decompress: When first brought home, Bella will need a quiet space—like a small room—where she can feel safe and observe from a distance. Establish consistent routines, such as feeding and quiet interaction, to help her settle in.3 Weeks to Start Adjusting: Over the next few weeks, Bella will begin exploring more, recognizing your presence, and getting comfortable with the household’s rhythm. During this phase, gentle interaction and positive reinforcement will help build trust.3 Months to Fully Acclimate: It can take up to three months for Bella to feel completely at home, confident, and bonded with her new family. By this time, her personality will shine through, and she’ll likely be showing her affectionate and playful side regularly. The 7-3-3 Rule is a helpful guideline for any adopted cat, especially one like Bella who may need a little extra time to feel safe. With patience and love, she'll become a wonderful companion.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bella, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
