My story

Penny has been with DDBBR for awhile now, which has given us the chance to really understand what makes her tick! While we knew she enjoyed playing with other dogs, we've discovered that Penny has a whole list of low-key interests that truly make her shine. She’s a big fan of curling up next to her person while they watch the morning news, snuggling by the fireplace, or settling into a soft bed or couch for some well-earned relaxation. She recently learned how to fetch too - which might be her favorite new game! Penny enjoys quiet strolls on peaceful streets or mellow trails, especially with her trusted humans or dog friends by her side. She’s not the kind of pup who craves busy parks or bustling adventures—Penny prefers the comfort of familiar routines and calm surroundings. Her world is a little smaller by choice, and that's just the way she likes it. Thanks to patient and loving care in both boarding and foster, Penny has blossomed into a sweet, playful companion. While she can be a bit reserved at first, she forms deep bonds with those who earn her trust.
