My story

Meet Johnny, (also known as Bobby) a spunky 10.5-year-old Maltese mix with a heart full of love and energy to spare! Weighing in at about 15 lbs, Johnny defies his age—he’s playful, smart, and always up for an adventure. He absolutely loves his walks and is a dream on a leash. If you're looking for a loyal companion, Johnny is your guy—he’ll happily follow you around, soaking up all the attention he can get! Johnny is a fetch enthusiast (though he's still perfecting the whole "bringing the ball back" part). He’s crate-trained, great with other dogs and cats, and would also be perfectly content as your one and only since snuggles and affection are his top priority. Because he’s drawn to small toys, a home with kids aged 8 and up would be best. If you're looking for a loving, fun, and devoted companion, Johnny is ready to steal your heart—could he be your perfect match? We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
