New Year’s Day 2025, Danish’s mama Ophelia gave the miracle of life to this litter of 7 mixed pups that we are calling Ophelia’s New Year’s Treats—Danish, Caramel, Truffle (boys) and Hazel, Strudel, Chiffon, and Cupcake (girls). These babies are being raised with exposure to kitties and to adult Pyrs. Danish is having the time of his life with his siblings where they get to play, sleep, eat and repeat all day long! These kiddos are so smart and learning fun things like following their mama out the dog door, pulling her tail and the proper place to go potty. Danish was the very first puppy born in this litter and true to form is the first to greet his foster mama in the morning, ready to flirt, swat her with his paw, and get loving. He loves to push up against his person and then roll over for belly rubs or a good cuddle. Danish is always willing to help his foster mom and assists by chasing the broom to be sure she doesn’t miss anything! Danish is a confident little guy who would love a home with a female canine sibling, maybe some kids to play with and a secure five-foot fenced yard. Put in an application today to learn more about this scrumptious boy! NGPR Pooch Profile Name: Danish in OH Age: 4 wks old as of beg. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. February 24, 2025, 1:15 pm
