My story

Meet Buddy, an adorable, short-legged sweetheart with a heart as big as his personality. After enduring a tough past, he’s ready to find the loving home he truly deserves. His estimated birthday is 11/4/2018. Despite everything he’s been through, Buddy is full of love and charm. He’s potty trained, loves belly rubs, and is happiest when snuggled up on the couch with his favorite people. He enjoys going on walks and does great in the car, making him the perfect adventure companion. While he’s friendly with other dogs and is best friends with his foster sibling, proper introductions are always important. Buddy is still learning his manners—his excitement sometimes gets the best of him, and he tends to jump on people, but it’s just his way of showing how happy he is to see you. He can also be a bit “mouthy” when asking for attention, though he never bites or gets rough; it’s simply his quirky way of communicating. Because of his past trauma, he has certain triggers and has shown fear toward one particular man who may have reminded him of someone from his past. He can also be protective over his favorite toys, but with a little management, it’s easy to work around. Due to his ongoing training, Buddy would do best in a home without cats or young children. His short legs make his attempts at running absolutely hilarious, and if he could have a dream job, he’d definitely be a food critic—this boy loves to eat! More than anything, Buddy just wants a safe place where he can be loved, give love in return, and enjoy endless belly rubs.
