My story

Jet is a lovable, quiet pup with a friendly spirit and a heart full of affection -- the perfect blend of energy and snuggles. Whether he’s chasing a tennis ball, gnawing on a bone, or enjoying his favorite treats, Jet finds joy in life’s simple pleasures. He’s both crate-trained and house-trained, provided he gets regular breaks outside. At night, he settles into his crate and sleeps peacefully from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. During the day, he’s content to relax in his crate or lounge in a fenced yard, whether playing with other dogs or amusing himself with toys. He does well with calm, dog-friendly cats. Jet has lovely manners and behaves nicely in public spaces like the farmers market, brew pubs, and cafes. He greets passersby politely and is happy to plop down wherever you are and people watch. Jet recently met children as young as 5-years-old and was a perfect gentleman, giving kisses and rolling over for belly rubs. He rides wonderfully calmly in the car. Jet enjoys short leash walks with a no-pull harness and is making great progress with basic commands. He confidently sits for treats and is currently working on Wait, Come, and Leave It. He’ll thrive in a home with someone who will continue his training and provide him with the love, structure, and guidance he needs. If you’re looking for a sweet, polite, and eager-to-learn companion, Jet might just be your perfect match! HISTORY Jet wandered up to a good Samaritan’s yard in a neighboring county. HEALTH Jet is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, is microchipped and is heartworm negative. PHYSICAL Jet has a shiny black coat with some small white markings. One of his front legs is slightly malformed, likely due to malnutrition when he was a puppy, the vet surmised. Sometimes this results in a mild limp, but he still loves to run and play.
