Meet Durham — Your Next Best Friend! Durham is a lovable goofball with a big heart and even bigger potential. Thanks to the dedication of his foster, Durham has made incredible strides in his training and is ready to find a forever home that will continue building on his success. We’re looking for an adopter who: ✨ Can provide a steady, structured routine ✨ Is willing to be consistent and firm with expectations — Durham truly thrives with clear boundaries ✨ Will continue crating him when unsupervised — at least initially (he’s comfortably crate-trained for up to 6 hours) About Durham: 🐶 Potty-trained, friendly with people and other dogs, takes treats gently 🐶 Up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative 🐶 A social media star after a fantastic doggy day out in downtown Durham 🐶 Quickly mastering commands: "sit," "down," "come," "place" (go to his cot/bed), "heel" (loose leash walking on the left side) and recall (coming when called) He’s also working on impulse control — learning to ignore friendly strangers and stay calmly in place without reminders — and making huge strides! To support his continued growth, Haven Dog Training is generously offering two complimentary training sessions to Durham’s adopter, along with his own training cot and tools to help him settle right in. This is in addition to the discounted training from Project Paws Dog Training that IAR offers to all adopters! Durham is an outstanding dog.
