✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 Meet Dorothy♠️ 💙 Dorothy's News Account: @gks_.skd 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped. * Has corneal edema, requiring consistent application of eye drops. This condition is not contagious. * Seems to overgroom recently and more attention has been paid in brushing her and cleaning the room. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Dorothy was found roaming alone on the floor of Gimje Shelter by a volunteer. Although her mother was with her, the extreme heat prevented her from caring for Dorothy, leading to her urgent rescue. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy and is a little bit fearful but warms up quickly. Is more scared more of men, so she may need more time. Greets women by wagging her tail but refuses to be touched by unfamiliar women. Once comfortable, she becomes affectionate and playful, even giving kisses. Shows lots of affection and likes to be held by familiar people. Likes sleeping close to a person. * With Dogs: Gets closer to smaller dogs first! Growls up and gets defensive toward bigger dogs. Gets along well with familiar dogs. * With Cats: Coexisted peacefully with cats without any issues at our center. * Separation Anxiety: Can stay alone without barking or showing anxiety. Even sleeps well on her own. * Potty Training: Is pad-trained and adapts easily even when the pad’s location is changed. Sometimes makes fecal mistakes but the success rate increases with clean pads. Has no marking issue and prefers outdoor potty! * Walks: Stays still near bushes at first but starts walking after calming down. Tends to pull on the leash when she wants to get closer to birds or there is a place for her to want to sniff. When tugged a few times, follows well the instruction of a guardian. * Hygiene: Is comfortable with grooming, including baths, brushing, nail trimming, and drying. * Car Sickness: Starts to drool right after the car starts and experiences vomiting during long distance drives. Therefore, it's good to take breaks in the middle and have a walk. Has no issue with short distances. * Does not bite at all! Shows some possessiveness over food though. * Whines when there's a noise outside the home or when she wants to get out of kennel. * Loves people so much that she jumps around excitedly and expresses affection by gently nibbling. It would be good to provide some training to help manage this behavior. Likes eating so much that she sometimes eats in a hurry. Using slow feeder bowl would be better. * Is scared of loud noises from buses, cars, and motorcycles, but is okay with other sounds like vacuum cleaners. Fears unfamiliar men. * Learned the commands such as "Sit down", "Lie down", "Wait", and "House"!
