My story

Remy is an almost one-year-old hound mix with the most soulful eyes and a heart that’s just beginning to believe the world can be kind. He came to us from a difficult and neglectful living situation, where he had very little human interaction and learned to be afraid of almost everything. Since then, Remy has been working closely with our trainer to build his confidence, learn how to be a dog, and discover that people can be safe. His progress has been slow but steady, and he’s now ready to take the next step—a forever home with patient people who will give him the time and space he needs to continue growing. Remy would thrive in a quiet household with one or two calm adults and no young children. A mellow dog companion could be a great influence, showing him the ropes and helping him feel more secure. He’s not the kind of pup to greet you with tail wags right away, but give him your kindness and consistency, and he just might sneak into your heart forever. Remy has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $75. If you're the kind of person who understands that love sometimes takes a little time, Remy might just be your perfect match.
