My story

Meet Pete! Pete is our resident big-headed love bug! He recently came to HAP when his previous owner could no longer care for him. At almost six years old, Pete's favorite thing to do is nap and he is not picky on his snoozing spots! Whether it's up high on a tower, down low on a blanket, or curled up in little cat cubby - Pete is happy to find a spot and get his beauty sleep. His favorite place for naps though? Your lap! The second you take a seat, Pete is right there ready to hop up and once he's up, he's quick to settle in and make himself comfortable. He's a super affectionate cat and when he's not getting cuddles, he'll push that big ole head of his into you demanding more pets! He's currently living in our free roaming cat room and has done well with other cats but we know he gets very scared of dogs so would need to go to a home where he never has to worry about canines! So if you're looking for a big lovebug, Pete is your guy! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
