My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats or dogs.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.A volunteer writes: Dust Bunny was brought to the precinct back in January. Meowing a mile a minute, she perhaps wasn't entirely clear about what was going on but in her efforts to make sense of it has hit a couple bumps here and there. Dust Bunny came rushing to the front of her condo to greet me but then seemed to sigh in disappointment. I hadn't come empty handed and was really eager to share the treats I brought in hopes of winning her friendship. The treats seemed to garner her interest and approval, but Dust Bunny wasn't in any rush to just hand her friendship over to anyone. There have been times at the shelter that she's been a little more amenable to pets and scritches and we know the right family is out there for this special girl.
