My story

WAITLISTED - STILL ACCEPTING INTEREST  Introducing Jaylan! Affectionate Playful Active Curious Hi, I’m Jaylan! I’m a playful and affectionate Great Dane who’s always ready for an adventure—or a good cuddle session! I’ve been through a lot in my past, but I haven’t let that change my loving nature. I thrive on spending time with my people, and once I warm up, I’ll happily lean against you for attention (it’s kind of my thing). I’m curious, sweet, and always eager to explore new experiences at my own pace. I’m a happy, friendly guy who’s non-reactive to people and dogs. I may need slow introductions at first, but once I feel comfortable, I’m all about leaning in and soaking up all the love I can get! I haven’t been around kids or cats, so if my future home has either, we’ll need to take things slow and structured. What I Love: ZOOMIES! Playing with my people and toys. I love engaging in fun activities! Car rides. Adventures? Yes, please! Chewing on antlers. A good chew session keeps me entertained. Butt scratches. My tail never stops wagging when I get them! I’m a smart boy who knows sit, shake, and leave it. I do best with positive reinforcement—give me a treat and some praise, and I’ll try my hardest to be the best version of myself! I’m also crate-trained and housebroken! I do well alone for up to 8+ hours if needed, but I do love spending time with my family. Oh, and one thing to know—I’m a bit of a counter surfer, so my forever family should keep tempting snacks out of my reach! I need a patient family to help me adjust to new situations. I’m finishing up treatment for an ear infection and working on gaining a little more weight, but I’m otherwise healthy! Forever Home Wishlist: A patient family. I’ve been through a lot, and I need time to adjust to new things. A midsize to large yard would be great! A physical fence is recommended but not required. A canine companion would be a plus, but I’d be fine as the only dog too! A family who understands my love for zoomies and gives me space to run. Fun Fact: I’m so fast that my foster family calls me the fastest Dane they’ve ever had—who knew a big guy like me could move this quickly?
