Athena

My story

Athena is THE CUTEST! She's a teeny tiny bundle of peaceful purrs. She is 8 years old, but has a sweet permanent kitten face and is a petite girl - a little under 8 pounds. Athena lays low in our cat room 4 - she doesn't demand attention and is often overlooked by the more outgoing cats, especially during adoption hours. When it is quieter at the shelter, she loves to come out and spend time with her favorite volunteers during TLC time. This is when Athena is the happiest and her personality really shines! She will crawl into your lap, and purr for chin scratches. She loves her people, so much that she tolerated wearing a pumpkin Halloween costume for us! When not celebrating the holidays, Athena loves to nap in small nooks and watch birds from the catio. She loves to take afternoon naps and bask in the glow of the sunshine. Athena lives peacefully among many other cats, but we think she'd be just as happy in a home as an only kitty. A warm home to call her own is she really wants, with lots of love included. She is spayed, up-to-date on her FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations, and FIV and FeLV negative. Athena is currently staying at our Heartland Facility! We are open Thursday 4pm-7pm, Friday 4pm-7pm, Saturday Noon-6pm and Sunday Noon-6pm. Feel free to stop by to meet them! No appointment necessary.
