My story

Eugene is the ultimate cuddle companion with a heart full of love and a soul that just wants to be cherished. This sweet, gentle senior pit bull has had a tough past, spending much of his life outside and battling through malnutrition and worms. But despite his rough beginnings, Eugene is a puppy at heart, full of love and loyalty, even if his body doesn’t always keep up with his spirit. Eugene has a calm, low-energy nature and would thrive in a home where he can enjoy lots of rest and snuggles. He’s excellent with kids, including babies and toddlers, and loves being a part of the family. Though he needs slow introductions to new guests, he’s gentle and kind, and does well with other dogs who have good manners. While he used to show little interest in cats, he has demonstrated some prey drive toward small critters, so a home without small animals might be ideal. Despite all he's been through, Eugene is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He’ll follow you wherever you go, showering you with love and snuggles. Eugene doesn’t ask for much—just a safe, loving home, and a comfy place to rest his head. He loves car rides, knows how to sit and lay, and is just waiting for the right family to give him the second chance he truly deserves.
