Meet Amber – Your Resilient, Loyal Adventure Buddy Amber is a testament to resilience, love, and the incredible bond dogs can form with their humans. This 2-year-old German Shepherd/Hound mix has already touched so many hearts with her hopeful eyes, sweet spirit, and playful personality. Amber strikes the perfect balance between energy and calm. She absolutely lives for her daily walks and would make a fantastic jogging or hiking partner. But when the adventure winds down, she’s equally happy lounging by your side. Her energy level is low to medium—not jumpy or hyper—making her a great fit for someone looking for a fun but easygoing companion. She’s incredibly affectionate and people-oriented, always seeking out belly rubs, ear scratches, and any excuse to be near her person. Amber is a Velcro pup who gives kisses freely and loves to be part of whatever you’re doing. Some of Amber’s standout qualities: Smart and treat-motivated – She knows sit, is house-trained, and patiently takes treats like a lady. Her agility is impressive—she can leap to catch a treat midair! Playful but polite – Loves tennis balls and has a gentle, controlled play style. Dog interactions – While she can get along with other dogs, she’d thrive as the queen of the castle—your one and only. Training in progress – She’s making great strides with leash training and benefits from a consistent, confident handler who uses positive reinforcement. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet may occur in person or on a video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.). Our adoption fee is $350. This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), spay, and a heartworm test. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
