My story

Kimya is an energetic and affectionate pup enrolled in our Shelter Scholars program, where she's working on managing hyperarousal and building skills for calm, focused behavior. Through positive reinforcement and structured enrichment, Kimya is learning to settle and self-regulate-especially with the help of mat work and relaxation protocols.She's understanding that slowing down can be just as rewarding as getting excited, and she's making steady progress in finding her calm. Kimya is being set up for success in her foster or forever home, where her training can continue, helping her grow into a balanced and happy companion.What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I am looking for a home with a patient person.My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Kimya is super sweet and excited to meet all new people and dogs. She doesn't pull or jump towards them, but she stands at attention and waits for them to approach her. She is mellow and easy-going, I'm not sure what her bark sounds like because I didn't hear one peep all day! She also knows sit and stay!
