Rocko

My story

Meet the gorgeous Rocko, a 2 year old neutered male TN Treeing Brindle/cur weighing about 65 lbs! His stunning coloring and captivating eyes will surely capture your heart!  Rocko is a gentle boy who thrives on attention and affection. He loves being by your side and enjoys the company of other dogs (with slow, proper intro), people, and kids (not cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats). His super chill personality makes him an ideal fit for a relaxed home. From Rocko's current foster:  "Rare breed alert  Rocko, 2 year old 65 lbs Tennessee Treeing Brindle. No I did not make up the breed, if you look it up you will see it's a real thing! He is sooo affectionate, loves hugs above all else. Waggy tail, houndy ears, big noggin, big feet, short legs. Was an angel for his bath and brush, loves his crate, loves to walk and sniff. Not super active, one decent walk a day will do. Definitely a couch buddy. If you want a dog that looks tough but likes to be cuddled like a human baby, this one's for you." He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
