My story

Although Paws Rescue League is primarily a dog rescue, from time to time we do take in cats!   Meet Tiggie, Grayson, and Smoke, adorable ~12 week old kittens! These babies were picked up as strays in east TN and have been in a loving foster home awaiting their freedom ride to New England!  Tiggie is a spayed female brown tabby who is sure to bring endless love and cuddles to her furever home! She is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Tiggie and her siblings are expected to arrive in CT on 7/26 and we would LOVE for them all to go straight to adopters!  Young kittens do best in pairs, and two kittens are actually LESS work than one, as they will entertain each other and are less likely to get into mischief! We will prioritize applicants who are looking to adopt 2 kittens, or who already have a young, friendly kitty at home.  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
