My story

Meet Zahara! 😸 I’m an adorable, 5-month-old independent kitty with a playful spirit. I absolutely love toys, but my true obsession is other cats—I just can’t get enough of them! Dogs, on the other hand, aren’t really my thing. However, with slow and proper introductions, I might eventually warm up to them. My brother and I were found in a dumpster when we were about two months old, so it takes me a little longer to trust new people. I need a patient and understanding family, as I was very hesitant about attention when I first arrived at my foster home. In fact, I didn’t really allow it for the first two months! But with time, love, and patience, I’ve started to come around. I absolutely love cat trees—they’re my safe space. You’ll often find me perched up high, gazing out the window and watching the world go by. I’m also a big fan of Churu treats, and believe it or not, I now even tolerate nail trims (now that I kinda like my foster mom 😆). I’d thrive in a forever home with another cat (or cats!) to be my companion. If there’s a dog, I’d do best with an older one or one that isn’t too interested in me. I’d also prefer a home without young children, as I can be quite skittish and need a calm environment where my boundaries are respected.
