My story

Puzzle is a gentle soul with a beautiful long grey coat and eyes full of curiosity. At just one year old, she’s still figuring out the world—and the shelter environment has made that journey a little more challenging. She often hides away, overwhelmed by the noise and bustle, but when someone takes the time to seek her out, she responds with quiet affection and leans in for soft pets and attention.Her name suits her perfectly—there’s a lovely companion inside, just waiting to be pieced together with patience and love.Puzzle is looking for a calm, understanding home where she’ll be given the time and space she needs to feel safe. In return, she’ll give you the joy of watching her personality slowly blossom. If you`re someone who believes the best things are worth waiting for, Puzzle might just be your perfect match.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
