Daisy the Golden/Great Pyr

My story

Daisy is a 3 year old, 90lb Golden/Great Pyr mix looking for a family who has experience with rescue dogs. She is a sweet dog who was rescued by owners at 6 months and she was in "bad shape" visually when they got her. She likely came from an abusive environment as she is very shy/timid/tense when first meeting strangers. With that, Daisy needs a secure fenced yard as she is an escape artist and flight risk.  Our GRRAND volunteers say: "She warmed up to us after about 15 minutes and allowed us to pet her and get close, without incident. She will need to go to a home with no other animals due to resource guarding behavior, but more importantly to a home that can give her the time and attention she needs to get comfortable in her new environment. She will need an experienced family who has worked with rescued dogs before. Daisy really is the sweetest dog once she gets warmed up to a person or family and she’s very cuddly and likes to sleep and watch out the window."
