My story

**Meet Orson – A Gentle, Golden Cuddle Bug** Orson is a 3-year-old, 63-pound sweetheart with a beautiful golden brown coat and an even more beautiful personality. He may be a big boy, but he’s as gentle and affectionate as they come. Orson loves being close to people and seeks out cuddles and affection wherever he can find them. He’s calm, laid-back, and happiest when he’s snuggled up next to someone who loves him back. He walks wonderfully on leash, staying right by your side, and he’s an excellent car rider. He recently took a ride in a car, stayed buckled in the backseat, and relaxed the whole time. Orson is also treat-motivated and takes snacks gently from your hand, always with polite manners. While he’s a little timid at first, Orson warms up quickly and reveals just how affectionate and loving he truly is. He shows mild interest in toys—he’ll give a rope toy a little attention—but his heart is really set on human connection. For anyone looking for a calm, cuddly, and loyal companion, Orson is ready to bring love, warmth, and sunshine into your life! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
