My story

My Foster Writes: Lucy is a small cat that is very lovely and sweet. Watching her play and find treats we've hidden is so much fun ! We haven't been bored since she's been with us. She will need time to warm up but once that happens her curiosity will have her following you around.A volunteer writes: Huddled in the back of her condo and staring up at the corner to avoid eye contact with me, Lucy actively pretends to be part of the wall. She really wants to make things better for herself. How to do this seems to elude her, but we know a few things about Lucy that may explain why. We've heard she's the type of kitty who likes to get the feel of a situation before she jumps in and says hello. Though she prefers to watch from a distance and look for the perfect entrance, when that perfect entrance finally comes to her, Lucy is notably sweet. Perhaps finding a forever family for a shelter cat means putting yourself out there just enough to meet the ones right for you, but many of us have been on the outskirts of a group or a gathering enough to know that it's hard to know when to say hi and harder still to take that first step with the requisite confidence. Lucy came to us from a home with many other cats and could use a hand because as much as she'd like to become part of the wall at the moment, she's a cat who really just needs a chance.
