My story

My #BoroughBreak Buddy writes:Don't let the Resting Pup Face fool you, Cosmo is incredibly affectionate and gentle! She was extremely shy at first, but with a little patience and gentle encouragement, she warmed-up and showered me with sweet requested snuggles and kisses. Cosmo is a calm, low-to-medium energy level girl, which makes her the perfect companion for cozy nights filled with binge-watching your favorite shows. On our walk, she impressed me with her excellent leash manners and calm curiosity around larger dogs. She did show a bit of reactivity toward smaller dogs, but thanks to her treat motivation, she was easily redirected. Cosmo already knows some basic cues like "sit" and "no", so she's already on the path to being a well-trained pup. We even went on a car ride together. She was a bit unsure at first, but once she settled-in, she did great. I can tell that she has great road trip buddy potential!Cosmo is truly a special girl who's just waiting to bring love and companionship to her furever home!What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
