My story

Bammy is the perfect mix of gentle and playful! The moment he sees his leash, he patiently sits and waits, making it clear he’s ready to be your adventure partner. He walks well with minimal pulling and appears to be housebroken, taking care of business as soon as he steps outside. This easygoing guy is curious yet calm, always staying close by your side. He knows "sit" and takes treats with the softest touch. Bammy loves affection, leans in for more pets, and is happy to soak up all the love he can get. He enjoys a good romp in the yard and even joined our run team for a one-mile run, making him a great companion for both playtime and relaxation. Bammy has done well meeting other dogs, showing good manners and playful energy. If you're looking for a well-rounded pup with a loving heart, Bammy is your guy! He is such a sweet and gentle boy! I did notice he is very unsure of people and surroundings until he feels safe. He would not get in the car at first, even though i could tell he wanted to. However he did allow me to pick him up to put him in. During the ride he did seem a little anxious but only for the first few minutes. When we first got to the house, he went potty right away outside! He is definitely house trained. He did not have any accidents. He loves walks and being outside. He does pull sometimes but manageable. After his walks he will get the zoomies as soon as the leash comes off! (Too cute) He did well with eating and does not guard his food or toys! Although at first is very nervous eating around people and will run if you get too close. (His favorite toys are stuffies) he does seem to get bored pretty quickly and start to chew things so probably good to have some kongs or something for him to stay busy. He allowed me to wipe him down and brush him and did not beg while we ate dinner. Bammy seemed to enjoy the crate at night Going in all by himself to relax and sleep. He does not really like to be in there during the day, but will settle in after some time. I have 3 children ages 13,8 and 6 who he did great with! He can get a bit of puppy like energy at random times, but takes corrections very well. He does sit on command and we were working on stay. Taking him back he hopped right in the car and was definitely a lot more comfortable with us and the car. He does warm up very quick, following someone around at all times! He is going to make his person very happy! With consistency I believe he could settle into any routine fairly quick! Please keep us updated on his status. We would love to take him for a few more nights if needed. We really enjoyed our time with him! 03/28/2025 volunteer notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Bammy is in a crate due to space. He had pulled his blanket off the top of his crate, so I adjusted it and he was patient and sat nicely the minute he saw my leash. He was easy to leash and walked right outside. Bammy relieved himself right outside the door - appears to be housebroken LEASH SKILLS: Minimal pulling HANDLING: While outside Bammy is curious and gentle. He’s a chill guy who just wants to be by your side. He sits on command and loves treats and takes them so gently. Bammy allows all over handling, appreciates pets, and will lean in for more if you stop before he’s had his full. PLAY: Playfully ran around with me in the yard and we went for 1 mile run too. TOYS: No interest. 03/27/2025 staff notes, Playgroup: steerable, good gate greeting. When entering yard, he was very playful, open body language, gave space when needed, gave good corrections. 03/26/2025 staff notes: He was able to be fully checked in without any signs of aggression.
