My story

Meet Huxley—better known as Huck! This pup is as lovable as they come. Huck is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly—he loves going for walks and curling up for a cuddle when the adventure is over. Smart and eager to learn, Huck already knows how to sit and is picking up new skills every day. He needs to continue working on crate training, he has some separation anxiety and is still safest in the crate when not supervised. Ideally his adopter will have some skills with crate training and separation anxiety or be willing to work with a trainer. Like any young pup, he’s still learning what’s okay to chew (and what’s not), but with his sharp little mind, he’ll get there in no time! Young children are probably not a good fit for Huck because he does nip people's fingers and toes when excited, and is also protective of his food and treats. Huck has a strong prey drive and does not get along well with cats. If you’re looking for a friendly, energetic, and totally unique pup to be your adventure buddy, Huck just might be the one for you. HISTORY Huck's previous owners had health concerns and were not longer able to care for him. HEALTH Huck is already neutered, microchipped and is up to date on all vaccines. PHYSICAL Huck has a one-of-a-kind wiry coat, soulful brown eyes, floppy ears, and an adorable little nub for a tail.
