Meet Mikey – The Special, Speedy, and Sweetest Boy!Mikey is a one-of-a-kind kitty with a heart as big as his personality! He came to AARF from BARCS with a severe limb abnormality, but don’t let that fool you—Mikey doesn’t let anything slow him down. While his gait is unique, and his legs splay when he eats or moves on hard surfaces, he can move like the wind when he wants to. He’s a pro at climbing (using his strong front legs to pull himself up) and loves perching at the top of the cat tree or mysteriously appearing on beds.Mikey is a social, affectionate boy who loves being petted and spending time with his humans. He’s also quite the chatterbox! He has a special way of communicating, often hissing as he meows or even as he purrs—don’t worry, it’s just his way of talking, and he’s never shown a bit of aggression. If dinner is taking too long, he’ll let you know with a little hiss-meow combo to keep you on your toes!Mikey enjoys the company of other animals, though he’s still deciding whether he wants to share a bed with the dog in his foster home. His fur is soft as can be, and his loving nature makes him a wonderful companion. He would thrive in a home with carpeted areas or a raised food bowl to make mealtime easier.If you’re looking for a cat who will entertain you with his quirky personality, zoom past you with surprising speed, and cuddle up when the day is done—Mikey is your guy! The adoption fee is $150.00, and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they`ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They`ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of our cats have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they`re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
